Blueray vs dvd upconverter on a 720p tv? - best 1080p upconverter

I have a Sony 720p TV and a Denon 1930ci DVD upconverter that has faradouja DCDi chip, my question is, if I set my drive to create a Blueray or HDDVD, since my TV is not 1080p, I noticed an improvement in image quality and whether there will be immense? Thank you for ur help.

Yes, you should see improvements, but the degree of improvement on the film and DVD depends on (some are better than others).
Photos on DVDs are 704x420. Even the best upconverter must guess what the missing pixels.
